About AquaSonus
Our History and Mission
AquaSonus, LLC is an engineering design firm.  Our goal is to use our many years of experience architecting high performance computer hardware and software and combine it with unique sensor technologies to solve a wide range of problems.

Our mission is to offer technically sophisticated solutions that are cost effective, reliable and user friendly.  This is possible as a result of technological advances in semiconductor design, manufacturing, and powerful digital signal processing software techniques.

We have applied this engineering philosophy to our first product, a swimming pool intrusion detection system.  Our pool alarm product is based on patented digital signal processing techniques and state-of-the-art computer technology.  By offering accurate, instantaneous intrusion detection, we have redefined the standard for swimming pool monitoring systems.

AquaSonus will continue to push the technology envelope and create the most sophisticated, reliable and cost effective products.  We are charting a new course for product design through technical expertise, creativity and hard work.

Our Founders
AquaSonus, LLC was formed in May 2002 by Bob Hoenig and Bill Roberts.  Together their years of knowledge, experiences and respected career accomplishments make AquaSonus the industry leader in aquatic safety.Photo of two young friends enjoying themselves in a swimming pool

Bob Hoenig has been architecting high performance computers for 25 years.  His designs are embedded in some of our nation's most sophisticated defense and medical diagnostic systems . . . radar, sonar, bomb detection, unmanned aircraft, MRI and CT scanners to name a few.  He has a BS in physics and a MS in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Bill Roberts has been a private practitioner and corporate executive with responsibilities in law, human resources, computer sales and marketing.  In addition, Bill is a main committee member of the American Society for Testing & Materials sub-committee F15.49.  This committee has developed the first industry standard specification for pool alarms.  He has a BS in psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson and a JD from Rutgers University Law School.

Bill and Bob were colleagues for 15 years prior to founding AquaSonus.
